Spring 2022

Regionals

May 1-2 | Fort Wayne, IN

Record: 2-3 (10th Overall)

Regionals ended up being a bit of a disappointment for KULT. On Saturday they beat Western Michigan, and lost to Michigan setting up a crucial game vs Northwestern to get into bracket play. KULT battled, but ultimately our low numbers got the best of us, and Northwestern won. On Sunday, there was nothing to play for, and KULT went 1-1. We got to to celebrate our leaving seniors one last time, but unfortunately morale was pretty low as we knew that we were good enough to compete in bracket play. Regionals capped a crazy season that saw many ups and downs. All in all, when you combine KULT's fall and spring seasons, everyone was pretty happy with the results we achieved, however the dawgs were hungry for more going into the next year!

Sectionals

April 8-9 | Indianapolis, IN

Record: 4-3 (4th Overall)

Going into sectionals, KULT was confident in their ability to secure a bid for regionals, but they wanted to show the rest of the section that they could compete with the powerhouses. On Saturday, KULT went 2-1, with a tough loss to Purdue. Although not happy with the loss, KULT secured a top 4 finish, and an automatic bid to regionals. Going into Sunday, they were playing with house money to see how high they could finish. The day started with a loss to Indiana, which led to the 3rd place game vs a good Notre Dame team. Another hard fought game led to Universe Point. After one of the longer Universe Points in recent memory, ND won on a ridiculous layout grab. Although a bit disappointed, KULT still qualified for regionals, which was priority number one for the weekend.

Huck Finn

March 28-29 | St. Louis, MO

A ridiculously windy Saturday led to KULT going 1-2 with losses to Cincinatti and UChicago. Just missing bracket play, KULT went into Sunday with the best they could finish being 9th out of 20 teams. First game against Depaul went smoothly, then two high energy games vs Iowa State and Mizzou, in which KULT won each. Although not quite the result they wanted, KULT left St. Louis feeling confident about their Sunday play.

Romp in the Swamp

February 8-9 | Chattanooga, TN

Record: 5-1 (3rd overall)

Tourney Champs: UAH

KULT took a makeshift roster down to Chattanooga with expectations of winning the tournament. Saturday, they won their pool going 4-0,  and securing the top seed in bracket play. On Sunday, we faced UAH in the Semi's in an incredibly high intensity game. The fact that we only had 13 guys, and quite a few injuries caught up to us as we lost a heartbreaker on Universe. We bounced back with a win vs Mizzou to secure 3rd. All around, a fun and successful tournament for KULT!
